Multiplication tables

Yes, the multiplication tables are back!

Recently I have discovered that, whilst working on fractions- adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing them- the multiplication basic facts have drifted off elsewhere for some students. A quick (maybe even automatic) recall of these considerably speeds up working on our calculations, and connections can be made when the number 56, for example, comes up- and you remember certain multiplication facts related to that number, and are able to connect these facts to your current question.

So, I would very much like to see some revision of these old friends -

1x - ensuring we understand that multiplying by 1, doesn't change the other number

2x - doubling and halving also

3x -

4x- doubles of 2x

5x-

6x- doubles of 3x

7x -

8x - doubles of 4x and further on to the 2x

9x- 3x the 3x

10x- the adding of zero

100x - the adding of 2 zeroes
